IMPATEX BUYS NETFREIGHT TO UPDATE FORWARDING CAPABILITIES

Leading Customs software supplier Impatex has acquired freight forwarding software provider NetFreight.

NetFreight is a fully-functional web-enabled freight forwarding and courier package which can be used at any location with an internet connection. It provides online tariffs and bookings for customers, converts quotes to jobs, and produces all shipping documents including barcode labels, air waybills and bills of lading.

NetFreight generates automated email alerts, and allows secure online shipment tracking and POD download. It handles multi-currency transactions, interfaces to any popular accounting package, and produces comprehensive reports. The system is suited to freight forwarding and courier companies of all sizes, from the smallest to the largest.

NetFreight will continue to be offered as a stand-alone freight forwarding package, but has been integrated with the Impatex Customs Manager suite, so that data can be shared between the two systems without re-keying. NetFreight's developer staff have joined Impatex to assist in the future progression of the newly-expanded product range.

Impatex will meanwhile continue to support interfaces between its Customs Manager and NetFreight products, and those of other suppliers.
